    Summer Evening Farm Session

    Summer Evenings on the Farm

    07 :: 05 :: 2018

    This family wanted a lifestyle session to showcase their day to day life on their property in Emmett, Idaho. From the moment they messaged me I was counting down the days to when it would take place- you can be sure that I will always love lifestyle session but especially when they involve animals!

    The day after Independence Day was a alightly smokey one here in the Boise area but it gave us some unique light to work with and honestly it captured the "feel" just right!

    During the session I documented the kids interacting with each other and all the animals they share a home with inlcuding feeding the animals- a task that seems so fun for them! My favorite parts were feeding the highlands and seeing the children run around with the goats! Goats are kids too :)

    Aside from the farm life activities I captured and witnessed a lot of LOVE from the entire family unit and one of my favorite things to witness is the unique bond a family has- no two families have the same relationship but they are all so beautiful! My job was made to be super easy and I hope to capture them again in a year or two and see how progress has been made to their new property, new animals and kids that just don't slow down when it comes to growing up!

    The family's small farm consisted of Highland cattle (two adults, one junvenille and a 2 month old calf), a dairy cow, ducks, chicken, pigs and piglets, 2 dogs and 2 very personable goats!

    What a unique and special family photography session! I LOVE how they worked the animals into the shoot. Totally awesome. I hope the parents will make photography books for all their kids so they always remember their life on a farm. Also, those kids are incredibly adorable. So sweet!
